In keeping with the start of winter theme, tonight I made a Christmas wreath.
A lovely lady who lives down the road from me, invited me to her house to make Christmas decorations with her.
She enjoys making decorations and most of the materials for the wreath are either from her garden or from in and around Yasuoka.
She speaks less English than I do Japanese, so we are both at zero or thereabouts, but somehow we ended up talking for three hours!
I was apprehensive about what I was getting myself into, but I’m really glad I didn’t bail out if it.
On a side note, her whole house was imported from Finland(!). It is one of the most beautiful houses I have been to.
